“The record labels were really taking advantage of that, and now their empire is crumbling and it’s going the other way. If something is good, I don’t think people mind paying a few bucks for it – what it’s worth. But if the choice is $12.99 or free? I don’t not understand that. I was a kid. You don’t want to get ripped off. I think the business will reset itself eventually, and it won’t be a million-dollar private-jet cokefest”—
this has to be at least the tenth time that i’ve posted this song and claimed it as my FAVORITE SONG EVER since i started blogging on tumblr about a year ago. i must really sound like a broken record at this point but there’s no way that i can even think about loving a song as much as i love california waiting. i won’t rehash the same story that i know i’ve told a million times because it must seem so played out, so i’ll just suffice to say this; this song saved my life. this song made me feel when i had numbed myself for so long that i was sure i wouldn’t care about much of anything ever again. you may not like the band, you may not like the sound, you just might not feel this song the way i do but god, i hope there’s a song out there for everyone that makes me feel the way that this one does.
